Well, it is obvious the company is trying to rewrite their wrongs with the release of an Android powered smartphone, the Priv. However, Blackberry Priv did not do so well in the market as consumers and even BlackBerry CEO cited the Priv’s high price tag as an impediment to the phones acquisition. To make amends, Blackberry announced that they will be releasing two new devices, Hamburg and Rome, this summer. Well, it seems that one of the devices in question will be here soon as the devices specs have been spotted on GFXbench. The device profiled on GFXBench is Blackberry Hamburg.

For storage and processing, the device is equipped with 16GB native storage, coupled with 3GB RAM. Blackberry Hamburg will also be coming with a 12MP rear camera equipped with autofocus, HDR and face detection. On the devices front, an 8MP camera will be sitting atop and the camera is capable of taking full HD videos, so cheers to the selfie takers and video callers. Also, if the device will be a full touch screen or querty and touchscreen us still unknown, although, reports of days past, indicate that BlackBerry Hamburg will feature a be a full touch-screen smartphone with a design reminiscent to the BlackBerry Z30’s. The price tag of this device is unknown as well as when it will be announced, however, we can confidently predict that the price tag of the Blackberry Hamburg will be around $250-$400, reason being that the Blackberry’s CEO have noted that the lower than expected sales of the Blackberry Priv is owed to its high price tag. Consequently, Blackberry will be releasing a device that carries a moderate price, making it appealing to mid-end and low-end smartphone users. As for the devices release date, it should be expected soon, say two/three months from now.
