The BlackBerry PRIV which was launched last year seems to have been received favorably according to the reviews of the android powered smartphone. That taken, the BlackBerry company has decided that they will continue production of Android smartphone, at least for the foreseeable future and according to recent reports, there will be at least one new Android-powered smartphone coming out this year from BlackBerry and possibly two if sales go well.
According to BlackBerry’s CEO John Chen who during a recent keynote presentation at CES 2016, remarks indicate that BlackBerry’s new devices for 2016 will be Android-based though he didn’t mention how many phones to be expected, he mentioned last year that they might focus on one high-end and one that is towards the mid-range.
