Meet Zopo Speed 8, first smartphone with Deca-core processor
Zopo is one of the many Chinese OEM’s, seeking to get a fair share of the ever competitive smartphone market. Well, you can only get attention when you provide jaw dropping specs with a small price tag and Zopo has done this with their latest smartphone, announced at the ongoing Mobile World Congress.
Zopo’s latest offering the Zopo Speed 8 is a smartphone is fueled by MediaTek’s Helio X20 64-bit deca-core processor (the Helio X20 SoC aka MT6797, is made on a 20nm architecture, and ships with the ARM Mali-T880 MP4 GPU running at 700MHz), making it the first smartphone with a deca-core processor – in my opinion it should be named the ‘speedster’. Besides this brow lifting spec, the Zopo Speed 8 sports a metallic frame, that houses a 4GB of RAM, along with 32GB of internal storage as well as a a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display up front. The device carries a 21-megapixel snapper (Sony’s IMX230 sensor, f/2.2 aperture) located on its back, and an 8-megapixel shooter (OV8856 sensor, f/2.0 aperture) can be found up front, both have dual-LED flash.
A 3,600mAh battery (fast charging included), which should be sufficient for your everyday use, supposing you are not a heavy user. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow that is somewhat tweaked with Zopo’s own software.
For connectivity, the Speed 8 supports 4G LTE connectivity (both FDD-LTE and TD-LTE). The Type-C USB port is placed on the bottom of this phone, and NFC is also included. The device has a fingerprint scanner on its back.
The black and white color variants of this phone are currently available.
The price of the device is currently unavailable as well as the availability of the device. This information should be available anytime soon and we will be bringing be passing it across immediately.
