Etisalat has a new data plan that you probably don’t know of.. A blog reader just sent this info to us via Email.
According to the screenshot Etisalat users can get 1GB data for N1,000 by dialing the USSD code, *229*2*7#.
It seems this plan is not available to everyone. AndroidNigeria got this message when we tried to subscribe; “Dear Customer, you are not eligible for this service. Thank you for using Etisalat.”
We don’t know the criteria required to be “eligible” for this service.. We have contacted Etisalat for more information.

Etisalat has replied the E-mail we sent and they’ve provided more info.
The Etisalat representative who spoke to us revealed that this plan is available to some automatically selected mobile numbers. This means If your number wasnt selected you cannot use this plan. However , there is a probability that this plan will be available to everyone in the nearest future.
Meanwhile there is a certain Android plan on Etisalat that gives 2GB Data For #2,000 ; valid for 30days. Etisalat says this plan is available to all Prepaid lines and Hybrid Postpaid lines. You can get more info

Please I buy an infinx Android phone and they said to me if I recharge etisalta 1000 send with this code 8186 they will give me bonus for 11 months but I did it and is telling me it can’t work on my device,i want to know why.
