The complete specification and pricing of the New Moto Z2 Play

Motorola’s parent company, Lenovo has taken the wraps off the Moto Z2 Play. Rumours on the specifications of the device has been circulating for almost a month now. As expected, the Moto Z2 Play is good in most areas. Press images of the device show that it does not depart from the design of its predecessor by much. The differences in the design of both devices is found in the location of their fingerprint scanners (Moto Z2 Play has its fingerprint scanner on the front), antenna lines, and frame diameter (Moto Z2 Play is approx. 1mm slimmer than its predecessor). Both devices maintain the same frame size to ensure that the Moto mods created from last year’s Moto Z play works perfectly on this year’s version. That said; let us take a look at the device specifications, read on.

The Moto Z2 Play comes a metal body that is protected against minor spills by a water-resistant nano coating. The device has a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS LCD. Under the hood, you will find an upgraded Snapdragon 626 and a 3GB or 4GB RAM. Depending upon the variant you purchase, you will get 32GB/64GB storage, respectively, and there is microSD support for expanding the internal storage.

 

For pictures and videos, the device is equipped with a 12MP camera with dual pixel PDAF (phase detection autofocus) and f/1.7 aperture. The camera can shoot 4K videos. On the front is a 5MP shooter with f/2.2 aperture and wide-angle lens.

Other notable features of the Moto Z2 Play includes dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, A-GPS/GLONASS, NFC, and USB-C. The device retains the 3.5mm headphone jack from the previous model. A 3,000mAh battery powers all these features.
The Moto Z2 Play is compatible with all of last year’s Moto Mods, including the Hasselblad True Zoom, Mophie Juice Pack, JBL SoundBoost, and Incipio Offgrid. There are also some new ones this time, they include; the Moto Game pack – this Mod tranforms your device into a gaming console. It features a dual analog joysticks and D-pad controls. It also has a 1,035mAh battery built-in.

Moto TurboPower Pack – The TurboPawer pack is a power bank with a 3,490mAh capacity.

The pricing of the Moto Z2 Play starts at 193,574 while the mods sell at varying prices, Moto Style Shell for $39.99, and the Moto GamePad, Moto TurboPower Pack, and JBL SoundBoost 2 for $79.99 each.
