Follow the guidelines in the post. That said, In most cases, you can easily tell if a phone is fake by merely looking at the screen resolution. Fake phones use to have this kind of pale and irritating screen. The UI is completely terrible with very ugly fonts. Before now, IMei codes used to be the standard but all that has changed now. Check the spelling of the Brand Tecno, if it is correctly spelt then that is a good sign as most fake phones don’t bear the same as the brand they are imitating. Also check if your device can use Playstore and install basic apps from playstore. I hope these tips help. Let me know what you findings. All the best.

point of correction….tecno moblie is a wonderful phone and i own one as well..but it was not the first dual phone to enter the african market….before tecno came to the african market i have been using a dual sim from nokia….actually dual sim ave been around way earlier in kenya

Your point is valid. The best place to buy any device is at the official retailer or at a reputable shop. That way, you save yourself the hassle of checking the quality or going to change the device because it is substandard.
