Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge get Android 6.0.1 marshmallow beta update
Samsung Galaxy S6 and S 6 edge has just received updates android 6.0.1 updates, However, a Beta version. This new update is quite untypical of Samsung, who are know for rolling out updates at a snail pace. Even more untypical, is the number of changes that this update brings to the S6 and S6 edge, which surprising for a Beta version.
The new features added to the S6 and S6 Edge are; a much increased catalogue of Emoji, improved visibility of notification panels, quick settings toggles for private mode, making it a lot easier to navigate. Furthermore, An install overnight option has been added, which S6 and S6 Edge owners to install updates at night between the hours of 2-5 am.
There is also a new feature that exclusive to Galaxy S6 Edge users, allow users to enable and disable panels in a faster and better way when to compared to its Android 6.00 permission to access this feature. There is a check box besides each user panel in this new update, allowing you to tick and untick whichever panel you want to activate or deactivate. In addition, There’s a new Tasks edge panel that lets you set shortcuts to functionality inside apps, such as composing a new message, adding a new contact, or composing an email, and more.
This new update is a welcomed development, not just for its features but also the time range within which it was released. Although, it is still unclear when the full version of the update will be released. In the mean time, all we can do is enjoy this new update.
