Samsung could release its first smartphone with 4 cameras this year
Huawei P20 Pro became for the ambitious Chinese company a breakthrough and a punisher of brand names. One of the main innovations of the smartphone was the triple camera and the steepest 5-fold optical zoom without losing quality. The efforts of the Huawei engineers were not in vain, and the smartphone became the leader of the DxOMark camera rating. The success of the Huawei P20 Pro did not go unnoticed as we expect smartphones with triple cameras from different manufacturers next year. One of those who will follow the trend will be Samsung.
Details about the South Korean giant’s next flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S10 show that the device will sport 5 lenses, two front cameras and “three- rear lenses”. While that is impressive, new information suggests that Samsung wants to take it to another level.
Popular tipster “Ice Universe” claims that a non-flagship Samsung smartphone will bring innovation to the market. The novelty will be released this year and will offer 4 cameras at once. Some high-profile publications have published the same news and suggest that this is a quartet of lenses on the back side and the feature will be offered by one of the future debutants from the Galaxy A 2019 series.
It should be noted that the source does not claim that all 4 sensors will be lined up on the back side. Perhaps it is just a question of installing dual cameras on the front and back panels.
