Xiaomi has just launched the Redmi Note 5A, an affordable device with all the features of a mid-end smartphone. Redmi Note 5 sports a 5.5-inch LCD screen with 1280x720px resolution. The device comes with a premium body build, its speaker grills are at the bottom of the frame. The antenna lines run horizontally on the back of the device and the rear camera is built into the top right hand corner of the phones backside.

 

The Redmi Note 5A is a photography centered device with a lot of emphasis on the its selfie capturing capability. For photography, the device is equipped with a 16MP front camera and a 13MP back camera. In the devices metal frame, you will find a Snapdragon 435 running the process along with octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU built on 28nm process. The device is powered by a decent 3,080mAh battery. It also comes with standard mid-end device features such as a finger print scanner, USB 3.0, Bluetooth, WiFi, Hotspot and 4G support.

  • The Redmi Note 5A is available in three variants, each having different RAM configurations. There is the base model sporting 2GB of RAM and sells for €89 (#37776.31 based on current exchange rate), there’s a 3GB+32GB version priced at CNY 899 (#48729.58) and a 4GB+64GB high-end model that is priced at €152 (#64505.05 based in Google conversions). The device will come in in three colors – Champagne Gold, Rose Gold and Platinum Silver Gray.

Redmi Note 5A will go on sale in China today. Availability in other regions of the world is yet to be announced.

  4. Xiaomi used to be a product that users want to get ahold of their devices but I don’t know what happened. This phone is good but not too good. The design and battery is not encouraging. The RAM, MP, 4G network is the only thing that clicked for me.
