Samsung Foldable smart phone tipped to be released soon

Foldable smart phones has been a virtual master piece for a long time now, this may soon change , as reports suggest that Samsung, is reportedly set to release a Samsung phone with folding capabilities.

Samsung has been looking into foldable-screen technology for years, and there are rumours that it is developing a smartphone under the codename Project Valley. (Samsung has never acknowledged this.) The fold would let users have a far bigger screen — useful for apps and consuming media — without drastically increasing the size of the device. But few expect it to make its way to market any time soon.

Analysts at HSBC are predicting that the South Korean electronics manufacturer is going to launch a smartphone with a foldable screen in the second half of 2016. HSBC analysts argue that Samsung is likely to be one of the first to utilize the technology commercially, and we should expect to see a launch this year. (This won’t be in its flagship Galaxy S line, by the way: That’s due to launch in Q1 and rumours make no mention of a folding screen.)

A foldable screen is no news, because LG just displayed a prototype of a foldable AMOLED TV at the ongoing Consumer Electronic Show, an ingenious display. But having this same innovation integrated into a smartphone, takes tech wizardry to another level.

The shapes in which the phones can be folded into will be determined by the manufacturer. Here are a few images of possible shapes:

If Predictions become true, it will be a massive game changer in the High-end mobile market, certainly boost Samsung’s sales. For now all we can do is wait and watch.
