If recent statistic released by Whatsapp, to also mark their 1 billion monthly active user milestone, is anything to go by. It means that nearly 1 in 7 people on planet earth make use of Gmail’s services. That’s pretty outstanding, and positions Alphabet owner the email franchise to create products that are in tune with user needs.

The company’s current CEO Sundar Pichai, revealed that the company has increased its use of Artificial intelligence in its service, with 10 percent of smart replies made by the Gmail service on the Gmail app was done by AI algorithms.
