Huawei Honor announces the photography focused Honor 6X at the CES 2017
Huawei’s Honor is one of the many tech companies that have a boot at the ongoing CES 2017 in Las Vegas. The Chinese based company recently announced the latest smartphone, which they have been touting for quite some time now. This new device is none other than the Honor 6X. Extensively advertised for its camera setup and design.
The Honor 6X comes with a dual rear camera setup, both camera’s are pixeled at 12 Megapixel’s and 2 Megapixel’s respectively. The rear camera is equipped with phase detection autofocus and Led Flash. On the front, Honor 6X is equipped with an 8 Megapixel camera for selfies, wefies (group picture), and video calls.
Honor 6X comes metal clad carring a 5.5-inch FullHD screen with a 2.5D glass arch. The devices sports either 3GB/4GB RAM & 32GB/64GB internal storage depending on the variant. The device comes with a Kirin 655 Octa-core processor and runs Android Marshmallow skinned with EMUI 4.1 out of the box. The device is powered by a 3,340mAh battery, which according to Honor can serve for 2.2 days on a single charge. Other notable features of the device are; a fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth, WiFi, Hotspot. Honor 6X comes with a split screen feature called the WiFi bridge, the feature basically helps to extend WiFi range to help other devices connect to your local WiFi network.
The Honor 6X will launch in three different colors, Grey, Silver, and Gold. As for pricing and availability, Honor says the device will be available in Europe, America, and England. The 3GB variant will almost immediately go on sale at $250 for the American market, £225 for the UK market, and €250 for the European market. The 4GB variant will cost a little more when it is finally made available in the first quarter of the year. It will cost €299 in the European market and $299 in the American market. The British market price is not mentioned, perhaps an indication that it may not be made available to them or released later this year.
