Complete Specifications and pricing of the Tecno Phantom 8, a camera centered the device

Yesterday in Dubai, the tech world welcomed Tecno mobile’s mainstream flagship for 2017, the Tecno Phantom 8. Unlike last year, when we were gifted with two variants of the Phantom 6, just one version was launched this time, however; it trumps the specs of its predecessors individually. Well, lauding the new device will not be enough to convince anyone of its superiority. Let’s take a look at specs of the Phantom 8, read on.

The Phantom 8 sports a 5.7-inch screen with a 1080 by 1920 pixels resolution (FULL HD screen) and 294 Pixels Per-square Inch (PPI). Inside the metal body of the device, you will find a massive 64GB internal storage paired with a humongous 6GB RAM. That’s not all as both RAM and ROM work with a 2.6GHz Octa core processor to handle the phones processes.

The Phantom 8’s major strength is its camera setup, the device is equipped with a ginormous 20MP front camera with dual LED flash for bright selfie’s and a dual rear camera with 12MP and 13MP respectively. The back camera comes with a slew of features that improve photography including auto focus, LED flash, and a 10x super zoom feature for taking professional photography. Going by the pedigree of Tecno in terms of camera’s, we can safely say that they have outdone themselves this time. No wonder the main marketing slogan for the Phantom 8 is “capture your legend” .

Away from the camera’s, Tecno Phantom 8 boasts a number of noteworthy specs, these include, a Type-C USB port, a fingerprint scanner housed on the back of the device right under the rear camera. The device has room for two SIM’s and supports 4G LTE network. You will find other standard communication and motion features such as Bluetooth, WiFi, Hotspot, and gyroscope.

Phantom 8 runs Android 7.0 Nougat tweaked with HiOS software. The OS of the device is not all too enticing, thankfully the company plans to bring updates as soon as possible. The entire Phantom 8 arsenal is powered by a decent 4,500mAh battery equipped with Type-C light speed charge. Another highlight of the device is its unique ‘Diamond Fire Design’ that gives the device a glossy and attractive exterior. It comes in three colors: Champagne Gold, Phantom Black and Galaxy Blue colors.

With all that has been listed, Tecno Phantom 8 is not expected to come cheap and it certainly does not. The device comes with a #145,000 price tag. It will go on sale almost immediately, check out mega online stores such as Jumia and konga if you want a unit.

And that wraps it up on the Tecno Phantom 8 specifications brief. What are your thoughts concerning the device? Is this a major leap in the right direction or has Tecno take mediocre steps in terms of design and spec? Share your thoughts with us in the comment box below.
